Not trying to vent too much here .... but I worked hard through the late spring .... and all through summer to get caught up on not one - but two seasons of LOST. I finally made it (all the while keeping an occasional eye on the various web theories) to the premier of Season Three ...... and nobody posts about it ????~!!!!!!~??????
Ben will be very disapointed in you

DVD sets of TV series are treated as reverently as jars of peanut butter or bottles of maple syrup - I have discovered the delight of the stimulation and the binding chains of duty to complete an entire season and move on (all in the same month.) If we discuss LOST please warn me of spoiler alerts. Thats on of the top three series I would like to buy in KC. On a side note - "24" - is the series devoured by the large variety of missionaries here. I have never watched an episode yet... can't get a hold of it! HA!
Dash - the above comment was mine. I did not realize Roamer was signed in and not me. Sorry Roamer >;p)
I didn't want to spoil it for those people who may not have seen it yet. :)
What did you think of the first five minutes of the episode? Since I have been watching the Final Destination movies, in the back of my mind I thought the person who dropped the muffins was going to die in a creative and ironic way.
Dar, I will certainly start my comments and posts with a SPOILER ALERT when writing about LOST in the future. Have you seen Season 1 yet?
Dust, I thought the first 5 minutes were fantastic. Without spoiling too much, I'll say that I really thought it was neat how the opening shots and sounds mirror the first few minutes of Season 1 and 2.
Verna, I've never seen 24 ... One deep conspiracy-riddled series at a time is enough for me.
Did anyone notice what people in the bookclub were reading?
I've been singing "listen to the rythm of the gentle bossa-nova .." all weekend. You'll have a little ha-ha moment if you look up who wrote that song.
I've only seen parts of the first LOST episode of season one and decided I would wait and watch it all at once. Uh... "rythm of the gentle bossa-nova" involves go-go boots and mini-skirts in England?
Did Simon and Garfunkle sp? write the song?
I thought Lost was ok. It is getting a bit slow though.
I agree that it's gotten a bit slower .. but hopefully the shift in focus and additional locations / characheters will be a good thing.
As for the song that we hear during the first few moments of Season 3 .... "Downtown" was performed by Petula Clark. I'll make you Google to find who wrote it.
for those who missed the show, you can watch for free online at abc.com.
Dash,
Dust and I talked quite a bit about lost at homer's last thursday. where were you?
arrrgggghhh!!!!!
I'll be going out of town this Thursday night as well.
