More to Come (# 91)

Sorry I've been so short on posts (9 more to go until 100). I'm sure I'll have more to say after I get into my newest audio book - 'The Intuitionist'. It's on hold for me at the library and will be the first book I've ever read soley based on a book critics review

It looks like T has been keeping everyone up to date on the household happenings, so I'll only report that I now have a bluetooth headset (thanks t!). While this is not nessesarily new technology, I feel very cool. N thinks I look like that girl from Star Trek - which I can only presume is Seven of Nine. Not exactly the look I was going for ... but it is most definately cool.

Speaking of cool .... (stop reading now forrest) ...... I got 2 DC talk collections from the CD club we joined a year ago. It was time to use our free CDs and .. well there you have it. I just wished one of them would have had 'Heavenbound' - I've started to forget some of the words.

.... down with the dc talk - d .. d .. down with the dc talk - are you down with the dc talk?

DC Talk collections? Like a best of? I wasn't a huge "Heavenbound" fan, but I did like "Luv is a Verb."

Maybe you could start a countdown to 100 since you are so close. Its cool to see some of these sites start to hit significant milestones. Forrest has hit the one year mark already and most of our sites are near 100 or 200. When we first started this I didn't know whether it would stick.

What are you talking about??? I've got a couple DCT ablums, plus I have been following Kevin Max in his post DCT career. I've got some DCT on my ipod and when we were in colorado we had a big sing-a-long to the rapture song "i wish we'd all been ready."

Are the headsets the phones that people leave in their ear. They are so gay! If you ever leave it in your ear and you are not talking to anyone, I am going to throw it on the ground and kick it to smithereens. :)

My brother-in-law (who sings/plays in a southern gospel touring group) said he remembers performing both 'Jesus is Alright' and 'I Wish We'd All Been Ready' in his younger days.

The Supernatural and Jesus Freak albums are still my favorite .. 'You Consume Me', 'Colored People', 'What if I Stumble' 'The Truth' etc.

As for the bluetooth .... I only use it in the car and the grocery store. In fact I took it off when I got to the Library yesterday afternoon - but forgot that my auto answer was turned on.

.... T speant about 2 minutes talking to my pocket and hearing my conversation with the Librarian.

T knew what dash had done, I was having fun with him trying to get him to pick up. I wonder if the Librarian heard his pocket talking to him?! :) But I guess she's use to getting a crazy croud where she works, I mean a bunch of people who think the library is a fun hang out place...geek ville! Talk about gay!

BTW...you break it you buy it forrest! :) :) :) :) He's asked me for that headset for over a year now!

I too had some DC talk in the past and enjoyed it. Heard some young kids here listening to it. I think the Christian music selection here is really slim if 14 year olds are listening ot old DC. I haven't actually seen a Christian music store at all. Send CDs! : )

I'm just joshing - I'm not really going to throw it across the room and break it. I am just like an old person who is scared of technology and refuses to have a PC.

How do you dial on those things?

I prefer DCT from the Jesus Freak and Supernatural era. I even saw them on tour during those two albums. Jesus Freak was the turning point (in the christian music world) that made alternative music acceptable amongst the youth group culture.
