Mrs. Dash laughed out loud when she heard my most recent creepy dream:
I was a student at the girls boarding school featured in the popular 80's sitcom "The Facts of Life". Mrs. Garrett and Natalie were there, as was former Evangel student Kim Fields (aka "tootsie").
I don't remember the actual story - But, I'm sure it had something to do with Tootsie's braces or Natalie's need for acceptance. Interestingly, Mrs. Dash was happy to learn that she was playing the part of "Jo" made famous by the now Lifetime movie star Nancy McKeon.
If you can recognize the only other member of the cast missing from my telling of the dream, you will have found the part that I was playing - this is what made the dream creepy.
Just a hint, I wasn't lucky enough to be playing George Clooney from the bad episodes at the end.

The Facts of Life is one of those shows where I can remember the theme song and very little else about the show. Fame is another.
I just realized that Mrs Dash is related to Mr T. Tell me that ain't funny.
errr... I meant married to, not related to.
Anyone going to take a stab at my mystery dream persona???
I know who it was! Hint: Relatives of this person made "special night gowns" that got sent to girls by accident in one of the early episodes when they were still at the school and had lots of friends that lived in the dorms with them. Cindy was one of their friends. I believe Jo was the only one who did not star in the piolot (of the 4 girls that the show focused on.) Too much info on FOL? Or do you want more?!
Btw, I think it's very funny that Mrs. Dash is married to Mr. T.
If you don't remember the facts of life dust you probably don't remember what it spun off of do you?
I know :-)
what'chu talkin 'bout?
You were Blair, a.k.a. Lisa Whelchel. Why would you be her? You don't have anything in common with her.
It probably has something to do with Mrs. Dash's book by Lisa Welchel??!!
yes it's because of the book. I spent a few minutes the other evening reading it while trying to find a strategy for dealing with one of Chandler's less admirable habits. I didn't find any specific answers but was intrigued to be reading "Blair" all grown up.
I'm sure that I was Blair in my dream because it represented me trying to work out a solution to a difficult problem... and after hearing that the night gown episode that Mrs. Dash referenced included edible underwear and other novelty "night gowns" I'm even more creeped out than I was.
Then again, Blair always thought her butt was big, so maybe I was trying to mentally identify with dusty.
I had a crush on Blair and actually a crush on Valerie Bertinelli from the 70s sitcom "One Day at a Time." I really slobbered after both of them. (so you were Blair...) Mr. Dust? PLEASE please never be Valerie... just leave an old man with his childhood memories untarnished (and NEVER put on an edible athletic supporter...)
dash I hope you take time to leave something on your blog other than your identity crisis for the weekend!
