I'm not going to even attempt to post more than anyone else - (besides it's my list); but I did think that I should move on past Happy Thursday before the weekend fully arrives.
Today I had a bright orange flyer in my mailbox. I don't ever get anything important in my box, so brightly colored junk mail is the norm. The various fun committees and charity groups apparently think that if they print it on colored paper, it might make it all the way to my desk and skip over the big dumpster they conveniently put right below the mailboxes ....but I digress.
Today's orange flyer was letting us all know that a new dry-cleaning service is available to all employees here at the Citi. It was two-sided and included a few examples of horrible clip art and a price chart. For example, I can get a pair of jeans dry-cleaned for $5.10.
I personally don't dry clean my jeans; so I'm not quite sure that this is a good deal - but I'm fairly certain that the rest of the prices were a little high. Presumably, this is because Mr. Dry-Clean is going to come pick up and drop off the laundry. This is where it gets funny.
#1. With all the security that we have to deal with, bringing in your laundry bag means going through the "guest" door and signing in with security. I would hope that bags would be searched ... but if they were, they'd have to hire more guards.
Funny observation #2. The vast majority of employee - including mangers, don't wear dry-clean clothing. Jeans, T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, Shorts etc. So, even if Mr. Dry clean does get the job .... he won't be getting much work.

In our office we had a vending box (not machine) that contained for $0.70 little packages of several products that our company provided for free on the next table over. The vending box was removed this past week.
Those jeans better come with some freakin' breadsticks at that price! You can go to Silver Hangar and get two suits for that price! Of course the aloof teenagers throw your stuff down on the floor as they check the little receipt boxes....
We purposely buy clothes that are machine washable. I don't have much experience with dry cleaning.
